Wonder Woman: Watch the spectacular new trailer here

Warner Bros. has released a new ‘Wonder Woman’ teaser trailer and it’s rather special.

Gal Gadot returns as Diana Prince in this World War I-set origin tale for the classic superhero and judging by this new teaser it could herald a turning point in the Warner Bros. DC Comics Universe.

The trailer shows us a lot more of the plot than the previous teaser, revealing more action from Diana’s Amazonian island home. A troop of soldiers – including Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor – can be seen landing on the beach with the horse-mounted islanders charging to face them in what looks to be a spectacular action sequence.

But disaster strikes as an errant bullet appears to kill one of Diana’s fellow Amazonians.

“I used to want to save the world,” Gal Gadot’s voice over explains, “This beautiful place. But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within. I learned this the hard way a long, long time ago.”

The new trailer also shows us more of Etta Candy, Wonder Woman’s best friend played by ‘The Office’ star Lucy Davis, who looks to be Diana’s comic foil.
