X-Men: Days of Future Past unveils Trask Industries

New website details Bolivar Trask's Sentinel-creating conglomerate.

X-Men fans should prepare to combust...

In the continuing digital drip-feed from 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', a new website for Bolivar Trask's Trask Industries has been unveiled.

Among the many, many great things about it is the first official glimpse of Peter Dinklage playing the former anthropologist-turned-military scientist.

Also brilliantly impressive is the footage of his 18-foot high army of Sentinels, created to suppress the 'threat' from the emerging mutants.

A series of mocked-up pictures show the Sentinels appearing in a number of historical situations, including overseeing the inauguration of President Reagan in 1981 and the WTO riots in Seattle in 1999.

A somewhat chilling quote from Trask on the site reads: “The mutant threat is the defining issue of our time. We can choose to stem the impending tide of extinction or we can stand by passively and allow it to wash away any remnants of our species.”

In the expansive 'about' section, more is revealed.

“Trask soon hypothesized the impending extinction of the human race. His early theories were ridiculed by his contemporaries and with no one to fund his research, Trask cared enough about humanity to invest in the founding of Trask Industries in 1967.

“Since its founding, Trask Industries has been at the forefront of human progress, partnering with domestic and international governments since the Nixon administration. Trask’s early ambition for genetic progress continues to fuel our technological innovations today.”

But perhaps best of all is the chillingly creepy video, which details how Trask Industries has grown over 50 years.

Doubtless the site will be forensically scoured by fans for possible keys to the plot of the film in the coming weeks.

But they'll be scouring for a while yet... the film, directed by Bryan Singer and starring the likes of Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Omar Sy and Peter Dinklage isn't out until May 22, 2014.
