Inside the Jurassic Park Velociraptor suit

The studio behind the terrifying Velociraptors in 1993's blockbuster 'Jurassic Park' have revealed how they created the costume in a behind-the-scenes video.

The legendary special effects team at Stan Winston Studio (who also worked on 'Avatar', 'Indiana Jones' and 'Iron Man') built a number of versions of the suit to perfect the look and feel of the creatures.

The brilliant clip shows how humans slotted inside the suit and how they used cable controls to move the head.

Our highlight though was the rare sight of a Velociraptor wearing trainers.

The clip is narrated by studio supervisor John Rosengrant, who actually appeared inside the raptor during filming.
