Sneak peak inside Noah’s ark revealed
The first peak inside Noah's ark has been tweeted, and it looks to be a distinctly reptilian affair.
The film, being directed by 'Black Swan' and 'The Wrestler' helmsman Darren Aronofsky, is currently in production in Iceland and New York State.
Aronofsky's director of photography Matthew Libatique dropped the image through his Twitter feed, with the caption 'Pre lighting on the holiest day of the year', referring to Jewish holiday Yom Kippur which began on Tuesday.
Stars of the film include Russell Crowe as Noah, Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah, Ray Winstone as Tubal-Cain, Emma Watson as Ila and Jennifer Connelly as Naameh.
Aronofsky has said that we shouldn't expect a highly-moral biblical epic, the likes of which have been seen before, describing Noah as 'the first person to plant vineyards, drink wine and get drunk'.
"I was stunned going back and realizing how dirty some of those stories are," he said. "They're not PG in any way.
"They're all about sleeping with your brother's sister who gives you a child who you don't know. That kind of stuff got censored out of our religious upbringing."
The film is due for release in March, 2014.
