The role is another decent appointment for Brooks, whose career is having a resurrgence thanks to turns in the likes of 'Drive', in which he played mobster Bernie Rose, and 'This Is 40, where he plays Larry, the father of Paul Rudd's character Pete.

Not much is known about the Nemo sequel as yet, other than original director Andrew Stanton will be on board too.

Stanton's last directorial effort was the sci-fi flop 'John Carter', his first live-action project.

The first 'Finding Nemo' told the story of Marlin's search for his son Nemo, after he is captured by a diver and installed in a fish tank in Sydney.
