Fred Willard arrested for lewd conduct

Fred Willard has been arrested in Los Angeles on ‘suspicion of engaging in a lewd act’ by LAPD undercover vice officers.

Most famous for his roles in ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’, the 78-year-old comic actor was caught in an adult theatre with his trousers  and genitals exposed at Hollywood's Tiki Theatre at around 8.45pm local time.

He was co-operative with authorities and has now been released from custody. He is set to appear in court at a later date.

Sources told TMZ that the LAPD weren’t raiding the theatre, but conducting a “random walk-through” of the premises, which is compulsory for adult theatres when they first receive their license.

Willard was also in ‘American Pie: The Wedding’ and ‘Wall-E’ and has had multiple appearances on hit TV show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’.
