Gravity spoofed in Ikea

We've all strayed away from the arrows in Ikea before... which makes this spoof of Alfonso Cuaron's 'Gravity' set in a US branch of the Scandinavian furniture shop all the more terrifying.

Particularly if your phone's only at 13%...

Comedians Alex Viola and Daniel Hubbard have seized on this modern irritation and filmed the unexpected peril as Alex strays from the path in an online skit that's now officially 'gone viral'.

“At over 346,000 square feet, there is no sense of direction, no silence, bad cell service. It's like way too big... Life in Ikea is impossible,” the trailer ominously explains before diving into the action.

The video has already notched up several hundred thousand hits, and even Ikea think it's pretty funny.

“We think it's fun,” said Johanna Blomkvist, a spokeswoman from Ikea Sweden. “Parody is a kind of flattery so we enjoyed it.”
