Jurassic Park 4 officially delayed
Universal says that they're still 'excited' about director Colin Trevorrow's vision
Universal Pictures has confirmed that the release of 'Jurassic Park 4' will be delayed.
Previously due to open on June 13 next year, the film will now be rescheduled to 'a later date', the studio said in a statement.

The news follows a number of tweets from the production crew – since deleted – throwing doubt upon the status of the production.
“In coordination with filmmakers, Universal has decided to release 'Jurassic Park 4' at a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth instalment in Universal’s beloved franchise,” read the statement.
“We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise's storied history.”
The reasons for the delay are not yet known, but it seems that the studio is keen to stress that the production is still on track, despite rumours to the contrary.
Tweets published by the film's digital asset manager and concept artist seemed to point at an indefinite delay to the film.
It followed a separate tweet from the film's director, Colin Trevorrow, who had shown test footage being shot as recently as last week of Isla Nublar, the fictional location of the first film.
Now, as if to underscore the delay in production, Universal has announced that the sequel to '21 Jump Street', starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, will take the opening slot on June 13, 2014 instead.
