2020 movies: Sky Cinema and Now TV announce films and shows coming in November

Autumn blues begone... Sky Cinema has announced a rollicking month ahead in November, with a huge slate of exciting premieres hitting the channel and NOW TV throughout the eleventh month of the longest year ever recorded.

Taika Waititi’s WW2 comedy Jojo Rabbit and Doctor Sleep – the sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining – are just two of the many huge films landing as the nights get longer and a night on the sofa becomes more appealing by the day.

Other highlights to watch out for include Paul Feig’s festive treat Last Christmas, and two new Blumhouse thrillers to give the edge of your sofa something to do.

Doctor Sleep (2019) – 6 November on Sky Cinema and the Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

Doctor Sleep continues the story of Danny Torrance, 40 years after his terrifying stay at the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson and newcomer Kyliegh Curran star in this supernatural thriller, directed by Mike Flanagan, from his own screenplay based upon the novel by Stephen King.

Lucy in the Sky (2019) – 7 November on Sky Cinema and the Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman plays Lucy Cola, a strong woman whose determination and drive as an astronaut take her to space, where she’s deeply moved by the transcendent experience of seeing her life from afar. When she returns home, Lucy’s world suddenly feels too small, and her connection with reality begins to slowly unravel.

Jojo Rabbit (2020) – 13 November on Sky Cinema and the Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

Taika Waititi brings his signature style of humour and pathos to this World War II satire that earned him his first Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay at this year’s ceremony. When Jojo discovers that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery with his imaginary friend - Adolf Hitler.

The Hunt (2020) – 14 November on Sky Cinema and the Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV
