Actor Anton Yelchin Dies Aged 27
Hollywood actor Anton Yelchin has died after being involved in a car accident earlier today (19 June).
According to TMZ, the actor, who was just 27, was killed when his own car pinned him to a wall, in what’s being described as a freak accident.
Friends became concerned when the actor didn’t arrive for rehearsals and was subsequently discovered at his home.
Police do not suspect foul play, but the bizarre accident is devastating news, with an out-pour of grief and condolences for the much-loved actor across social media and online.
Yelchin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and was known for his role as Bobby in 2001′s ‘Hearts of Atlantis’ opposite Anthony Hopkins, as well as a recurring part in the J.J. Abrams rebooted ‘Star Trek’ franchise as Chekov.

The talented actor made a name for himself in indie drama ‘Like Crazy’ alongside Felicity Jones, as well as in roles in ‘Terminator: Salvation’, 2011′s ‘Fright Night’, and most recently in the thriller ‘Green Room’.
Yelchin had completed a number of film projects before his untimely death, including ‘Star Trek Beyond’, as well as ‘Rememory’, ‘We Don’t Belong Here’, ‘Porto’ and ‘Thoroughbred’.
