Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins are taking part in BBC Children in Need’s ‘Race Across Yorkshire’.

The ‘EastEnders’ stars have teamed up to take on two other pairs, former ‘Birds of a Feather’ stars Lesley Joseph, 78, and Linda Robson, 65, and ‘Waterloo Road’ stars Liam Scholes and Priyasasha Kumari, for a star-studded version of the smash-hit BBC series ‘Race Across The World’ for this year’s edition of the public broadcaster’s charity appeal.

Adam, 55, and Michelle, 61 - who both returned to Walford this year in a dramatic storyline - and the other pairs will be armed with a map and a GPS as they are tasked with reaching Pudsey, a town between Leeds and Bradford and the namesake of the beloved yellow mascot of the annual fundraising event, first.

The three duos will bump into some local famous faces, such as beloved ‘Emmerdale’ characters Kim Tate, Marlon Dingle and Cain Dingle - played by Claire King, 61, Mark Charnock, 55 and Jeff Hordley, 53, in the ITV1 soap, respectively - as well as Bradford’s most famous ‘Pop Idol’ runner-up Gareth Gates, 39, homegrown Wakefield talent Jane McDonald, 60, and proud Rotherham lad and surviving Chuckle Brothers star, Paul Chuckle, 76, whose comedy partner and brother Barry died in 2018 aged 73.

With Yorkshire’s three million acres, there will be ample opportunity to get stranded in the region, along with chances to use their common sense to make more money.

The most recent version of the show was won by ‘Good Morning Britain’ weatherman Alex Beresford and his father Noel.

‘BBC Children in Need’ airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7pm on Friday 17th November.
