Bette Midler recreates her Hocus Pocus look for Halloween & it’s AMAZING

The ‘Hocus Pocus’ sequel may still be unconfirmed by Disney but it hasn’t prevented its star Bette Midler from resurrecting her character this Halloween.

For this year’s Hulaween Bash at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Midler turned up as the one and only Winifred from the movie and her efforts blew everyone away.

The acting legend turned 70 last December but, as we can see from the photos, she looked amazing as her witching icon from the 1993 movie and virtually looks like she did in the early ‘90s.

It’s been 23 years since Midler appeared in the Disney comedy alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Thora Birch and her enthusiasm for a long-awaited sequel has, in one way at least, come to fruition with this costume.

Midler’s been particularly vocal in getting a follow-up off the ground even if Disney haven’t been overly forthright in getting the ball rolling. Around a year ago Midler did a Reddit AMA where she was asked about the possibility of ‘Hocus Pocus 2′.

She wrote:

‘Inundate the Disney company, because I have canvassed the girls and they are willing to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a HOCUS POCUS 2, ask the Walt Disney company.’

To be honest, with the actress looking so spot on with her Winifred outfit it must’ve registered on Disney’s radar, especially considering how they’re really championing sequels from their back catalogue at the moment.

Since its ‘93 release, ‘Hocus Pocus’ has become something of a classic over the past few decades, especially round the Halloween season, so there’s every chance the Mouse House will see sense in magicking a sequel into cinemas.
