Anthony Michael Hall, the actor known for his role in ‘The Breakfast Club’, could face seven years in prison over allegations he attacked his neighbour.

Hall, 48, has been charged with the felony of battery with serious bodily injury by the Los Angeles County District Attorney, reports TMZ.

It was over an incident two months ago, during which it’s claimed he broke his neighbour’s wrist and injured his back during an altercation outside their houses in Playa del Rey in California.

Security video footage obtained by TMZ in September this year appeared to show a man, later identified as Hall, arguing with another man before shoving him to the ground.

The row was said to be over Hall’s neighbour leaving a gate open.

It’s not the first time that Hall has had run-ins with his neighbours. In 2011, he was involved in another incident, and was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

Claims were made that he was ‘screaming obscenities and challenging people to fights in the street’, wrote TMZ.

Hall’s last high-profile movie was ‘Foxcatcher’ back in 2014, and he’s also in Ben Affleck’s forthcoming ‘Live By Night’, with the likes of Brendan Gleeson and Sienna Miller.

But he’s best known for appearing in a swathe of 80s Brat Pack hits, like ‘The Breakfast Club’, ‘Sixteen Candles’, and ‘Weird Science’, as well as movies like ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ and ‘Edward Scissorhands’.
