Bryan Cranston For Power Rangers Movie, 20 Years After Appearing In Original Series
In a strangely cyclical piece of casting news, Bryan Cranston has confirmed that he’ll be playing the role of Zordon in the forthcoming ‘Power Rangers’ movie.
Dropping the news on Twitter, he added:
Not sure the right answer to that one, but there is indeed some top trivia to be had here.

- Finding Dory makes box office history
Back in 1993, Cranston voiced a number of characters on the TV show 'Might Morphin Power Rangers’, including Twinman and Snizard.
This was, of course, long before his career-making roles on 'Malcolm In The Middle’ and the now iconic 'Breaking Bad’.
His character Zordon, a galactic sage and mentor to the Rangers, depicted in the show as a large, blue floating head in a tube.
As the movie wrapped filming in Vancouver back in May, it sounds like Cranston’s role will be added as part of the special effects in post-production.
He’s the second actor of note to have joined the production, with 'Hunger Games’ star Elizabeth Banks playing villain Rita Repulsa.
The rangers themselves will be played by newcomers Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger.
Directed by Dean Isrealite, it’s out in March, 2017.
