Yahoo Movies Cameron Diaz's comeback Netflix movie delayed to 2025
The release of Cameron Diaz's Netflix comeback film Back In Action has been delayed.
Also starring Jamie Foxx, the action comedy marks the Charlie's Angels star's first film since 2014's Annie.
The film sees Foxx and Diaz star as former CIA agents who give up their action-packed careers to start a family, but they get pulled back into espionage after their identities are exposed.
Netflix originally announced at their Upfront presentation in May that the film would be released on November 15, 2024, but it is now listed on Tudum for a January 17 release next year.

A reason for the almost two-month delay has not been shared.
Back In Action is directed by Seth Gordon, who previously created Horrible Bosses, Four Christmases and the 2017 Baywatch adaptation.
Alongside Cameron and Jamie, the cast is rounded out by Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson.
Production on the film was impacted after They Cloned Tyrone star Foxx was hospitalised suddenly for a major medical emergency.

Back In Action also had accusations of tensions on set, but Cameron Diaz has publicly defended Foxx.
Addressing her return to acting when the film was announced, Diaz said she felt "different" and described her first role back as "muscle memory."
She told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show: "I did that for so long, it’s kind of like the process. I kind of just fell back into it. But it feels a little bit different.
"The last movie I made was Annie with Jamie, and so the first movie back is this film with Jamie. He’s so great, he’s so easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented, and just being able to work with him."
Back In Action will be released on Netflix on January 17, 2025.
