Disney to launch new 'big sleeve' DVD edition for classic movies

Here’s one to get the collectors salivating… Disney is to launch new ‘big sleeve’ DVD editions of some of its classic movies.

The releases will be ‘super-sized’, and issued in collectable, 12” vinyl-style packaging, which will come complete with bespoke artwork.

Classic movies including ‘Aladdin’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Cinderella’ are being unveiled in the new format.

There will also be multi-disc releases of ‘Finding Dory’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ issued too.

As per a normal DVD or Blu-ray release, the special editions will feature the movie disc plus additional discs featuring extras like commentaries, deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes footage.

They can be pre-ordered now, and will hit stores from November 28.
