Eternals, Humans and Don't Worry Darling star Gemma Chan has found her next lead movie role.

As reported by Deadline, Chan will star in The Actor alongside Moonlight and American Horror Story: Roanoke's André Holland. Details on Chan's role have yet to be unveiled.

The film has Holland playing Paul Cole, an actor who wakes up in Ohio in the 1950s following a brutal attack. Suffering from memory loss, he must find his way back to New York to get his life back.

Ryan Gosling was originally meant to play Holland's role but had to drop out over scheduling conflicts. Gosling still serves as an executive producer.

There's a strong supporting cast as well, including Peaky Blinders' Joe Cole, Tetris' Toby Jones, Tracey Ullman's Show's Tracey Ullman and Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation's Simon McBurney. Meanwhile, Duke Johnson, who helmed the Oscar-nominated animation Anomalisa, is directing.

The Actor isn't the only project Chan has on her plate at the moment.

First, there's the biopic of Anna May Wong, Hollywood's first Chinese-American movie star, which Chan is starring in and executive producing.

"Anna May Wong was a trailblazer, an icon and a woman ahead of her time," Chan previously said in a statement.

"Her talent and her exploration of her art both in and outside of the US was groundbreaking – and the challenges and prejudice she faced in the early 20th century as an actress speak directly to the conversations and the world we are navigating today."

There's also the spin-off to Crazy Rich Asians, which will follow Chan's character Astrid Young Teo and her relationship with Charlie Wu, played by Everything Everywhere All at Once and Glee's Harry Shum Jr.

Although the Astrid/Charlie film is following up on plot points from Crazy Rich Asians, especially in the post-credits scene, there's also a more direct sequel set to follow the continuing story of Constance Wu's Rachel and Henry Golding's Nick.

A release date for The Actor hasn't yet been announced.
