Filming on 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' sequel kicks off in Hertfordshire
Filming has got underway on Spider-Man: Far From Home and for the first time ever the Marvel superhero will be slinging his webs on the mean streets of… Hertfordshire. Now that really *is* far home for the New York-based superhero.
Actor Tom Holland, reprising the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for the fourth time, was spotted arriving on location this morning in Bishop’s Stortford to shoot an unspecified scene on the upcoming Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios film.
Locals were on hand to snap the 22-year-old actor as he appeared on set at the town’s old post office, waving at fans and photographers, clutching a paper cup holding – presumably – Green (Goblin) tea.
One fan turned up wearing a Spider-Man costume and many fans have been speculatively shouting “Marry me Tom!” at the film’s star.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, and it’ll show Peter Parker venturing out of Queens, New York. It’s due to hit cinemas in July 2019, just two months after the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4, but it’s not yet clear where on the Marvel timeline this film takes place.
As you know, Peter had quite a journey in Avengers: Infinity War, and the bosses at Marvel have been adamant that the events of that film will not be undone in future films (yeah, right…).
“Well, when does [Far From Home] take place?” Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige rhetorically asked when quizzed about the film’s timeline by io9.
“We know it’s the summer. I think it’s summer vacation. I think he’s going to Europe with his friends. I don’t know what summer… I mean, I do know [but you don’t].”
Sorry for no announcements, but I love you guys ♥️

Spider-Man: European Vacation? We can dig it.
“We start filming early July. We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta,” Feige recently told Slash Film.
“And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.”
