First look at Sex Education and Stranger Things stars in new horror movie

Fans have been given a first look into the upcoming supernatural horror All Fun and Games featuring stars from Sex Education and Stranger Things.

The dark and gloomy still sees Asa Butterfield and Natalia Dyer in character as Marcus and Billie, respectively, looking into the distance at an unknown object – or person. We also see The Pope's Exorcist's Laurel Marsden as Sophie, and The Haunting of Bly Manor star Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Jo in the scene.

The film will also star They Live actor Keith David, Locke & Key's Kolton Stewart as well as Midnight Mass star Annabeth Gish. It will be directed by Eren Celeboglu, best known for The Internet Kills, and Avengers producer Ari Costa.

A press release for All Fun and Games says it "explores the elements of cruelty inherent in children's games – Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Hide & Seek – and what happens when the games go too far. When a group of teens find a cursed knife in the woods, they unleash a malevolent demon that will not rest until it's claimed all of their lives and souls in a terrifying deathmatch."

It has a US release date of September 1 after Vertical acquired the North American rights to the Anton and AGBO thriller, though it does not yet have a UK release date.

Vertical partner Peter Jarowey said: "We are thrilled to be in business with Anton & The Russo Brothers’ AGBO who have shepherded the project allowing Ari and Eren to create a gripping debut film based on a high concept idea that caught, and held, our attention immediately. We are so excited for audiences to experience the film and the terrifying story that will leave them haunted."

Elsewhere, Butterfield will appear in a sequel to the festive Christmas movie Your Christmas or Mine?. The Amazon Prime Video flick will see Prey for the Devil's Cora Kirk and Butterfield as a couple.

Meanwhile, Dyer will surely be reprising her role as Nancy Wheeler in the fifth and final series of Netflix hit Stranger Things. It is unknown when exactly the last instalment of the show will hit our screens after it was announced that production was paused as a result of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike – and it will surely be further impacted by the ongoing actors' strike.
