Yahoo Movies First trailer and UK release date for Doctor Who star's new movie
The first trailer for And Mrs, a new comedy starring Doctor Who's Arthur Darvill, Aisling Bea, and American Horror Story's Billie Lourd, has just been released, along with confirmation of its release date.
The film follows a woman named Gemma (Bea) who finds her fiancé Nathan (Colin Hanks) has suddenly died mere weeks before their wedding. Knowing how much he wanted to tie the knot, and spurred on by his sister Audrey (Lourd), Gemma decides to marry him anyway.
At first it's a clash between family over whether she should go ahead with marrying someone who is dead. It's then a pushback against the law, and eventually it becomes a major public scandal, with people protesting both for and against the wedding.

As we can see in the trailer, the film takes the blackly comic pretence and runs with it — and there's a ton of recognisable faces we see as well.
Beyond Darvill, there's Enola Holmes' Susan Wakoma, Succession's Harriet Walter, It's a Sin's Omari Douglas, Game of Thrones' Paul Kaye, Nish Kumar, The History Boys' Samuel Barnett, After Life's Paul Egan, Downton Abbey's Elizabeth McGovern, and MotherFatherSon's Sinead Cusack.
The film will be released direct to digital storefronts on September 2. But if you're attending the Edinburgh International Film Festival, you can see it a little bit earlier, as it will be screened on Monday, August 19.

Last month, Aisling announced she was expecting her first child with her partner Jack Freeman, roping in her famous friends Paul Rudd, Travis Kelce, and Sheryl Crow to help her reveal the news to the world.
