Glen Powell shares exciting Top Gun 3 update
Glen Powell has given Top Gun fans an exciting update on the third film.
The Hit Man actor appeared in 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick as LT Jake 'Hangman' Seresin alongside the likes of Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, and original Top Gun stars Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.
Earlier this year, a third film was confirmed to be in development, with Powell set to return to the cockpit. Details of the upcoming film have since been scarce, but the Twisters star has put fans out of their misery with a new update.
During an interview with Twisters co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Powell said he had a start date for Top Gun 3.

When the pair were asked if they thought a new Top Gun film or a new Normal People season starring Edgar-Jones would be released first, Powell shared: "I mean, I have a date."
Edgar-Jones questioned if it was for Top Gun, with Powell turning the tables and asking if she was set to return to her role in Normal People alongside Paul Mescal.
Edgar-Jones said no, to which Powell responded: "Okay, then probably me."
He didn't reveal any extra information, telling host Josh Horowitz "absolutely not" when asked if he had anything else to share about a new Top Gun film.
Powell and Edgar-Jones both most recently hit screens in Twisters, the eagerly-anticipated sequel to the 1996 disaster film Twister.
Twisters follows the story of Kate Cooper (Edgar-Jones), who is forced to confront her trauma caused by a tornado disaster when her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) takes her out to the open plains to test a groundbreaking new tracking system.
The pair cross paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), a storm chaser famous on social media for sharing his death-defying adventures. Soon, the three must fight for their lives when multiple tornado systems converge over central Oklahoma.

Powell previously revealed his parents had a cameo in Twisters, sharing a behind-the-scenes video on his TikTok account of Cyndy Powell and Glen Powell Sr preparing for a "big rodeo scene".
They also appeared alongside the actor in hit rom-com Anyone But You, playing passengers on a plane in a scene with their son and his co-star Sydney Sweeney.
Twisters is in cinemas now.
