Green Lantern cameo rumoured in Justice League
We might be meeting the new Green Lantern sooner than expected.
The cosmic DC superhero, last seen portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 misfire, is a notable absentee from the line-up of upcoming superhero team-up movie ‘Justice League.’
However, a new report claims that the character may in some capacity appear in Zack Snyder’s 2017 follow-up to ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.’

This claim comes from The Wrap, who simply state that “a member of the Green Lanterns Corps. will be seen in ‘Justice League’ in a key sequence.”
One thing that distinguishes Green Lantern from other superheroes is that the title does not belong to one specific character; the Green Lanterns are a galactic police force with operatives from all over the universe.
This line-up has counted several humans over the years, including Hal Jordan (as portrayed by Reynolds), John Stewart and Guy Gardner. It is anticipated that more than one of these characters will appear in ‘Green Lanterns Corps,’ due from Warner Bros in 2020.
As such, it makes sense that ‘Justice League’ may boast a teaser of sorts for this film, not unlike the very brief appearances made by Ezra Miller’s The Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg in ‘Batman V Superman.’
It’s also feasible that a Green Lantern may be a fully-fledged member of the team in the second ‘Justice League’ movie, scheduled for June 2019.
Before that, the first ‘Justice League’ will open in November 2017.
