Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer to land with Doctor Strange
The first snippets of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ will be unveiled when ‘Doctor Strange’ hits the big screen, according to reports.
The BBFC has posted details of the trailer having passed its criteria for broadcast on its website.

It’ll be a PG-rated affair, running at a lean one minute and 29 seconds. And with ‘Doctor Strange’ due out on October 25, it’s almost certain that this will be where it makes its first appearance.
There’s already been some footage show at Comic-Con over the summer, so this will be the first footage for those fans who didn’t make it to San Diego.
It’s hoped that it’ll show the first glimpse of Kurt Russell’s character Ego, The Living Planet, ‘an ancient and cosmic being’, who also happens to be the father of Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord.
He told Collider in September: “I was impressed with the stuff that I saw at Comic-Con, but they didn’t show you everything [laughs]. It’s a very complex story, and they really get into it.
“This is going to be one of the more – probably for Marvel, it’s more connected to human issues, family issues, parental issues, and issues that sons and daughters have with their moms and dads and their family tree, where they come from.
“I just think it’s going to be an interesting – Peter’s character in this one, he’s got dilemmas and he’s got decisions to make that are not just about whether to save that thing or that person. This is about finding out who you are, where you come from, and where you’re going.”
The movie will be set in more or less the immediate aftermath of the first movie, with Pratt’s Star-Lord struggling to keep his new, rather dysfunctional family together.
Returning alongside Pratt will be Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel voicing Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Karen Gillan as Nebula, and Michael Rooker as Yondu.
There are also roles for ‘Stranger Things’ star Chris Sullivan as ‘a real dumbass’ villain called Taserface, and Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, a priestess who enlists the help of the Guardians.
It’s due out in May, 2017.
