‘John Wick’ director overseeing ‘Birds Of Prey’s’ action reshoots
John Wick director Chad Stahelski has reportedly joined Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn) to help with the blockbuster’s action scenes.
Birds Of Prey director Cathy Yan has only previously overseen Dead Pigs, a comedy-drama with a small budget that impressed Margot Robbie so much she immediately pursued the filmmaker for her return as Harley Quinn.

Production on Birds Of Prey actually took place earlier this year, between January and April. But as is the case with every other modern major blockbuster additional shooting is due to occur over the next few weeks, and Stahelski has “been brought in to oversee second unit photography,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Stahelski has plenty of experience in the genre, as he has now directed John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. Before then Stahelski worked as Keanu Reeves’ stunt double in The Matrix franchise, while he has also worked on the stunts on Deadpool 2, 300, Mr & Mrs Smith, and The Crow.
Stahelski will be working in conjunction with Yan on the additional filming, with the report insisting that he will “tackle and design new action scenes” in his “uncredited role.” It won’t take long for Stahelski to get up to speed with the production, though, as he his stunt firm 87 Eleven has been involved with Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn) since the very beginning.
