Sandra Oh is on the hunt for Jodie Comer’s super-assassin Villanelle in the first trailer for Killing Eve Season 2.

Golden Globe-winner Oh returns as Eve Polastri in the first footage from the new episodes, which sees Villanelle in hospital, after she was stabbed by Eve in the finale of the first season.

The duo seem poised to resume their game of cat-and-mouse, as Eve can be seen on the phone saying: “I found Villanelle, I think I’m going to kill her.”

And Villanelle is back to her old tricks as she is discovered rifling through a kitchen draw, looking for a kitchen knife.

When she is asked why, she replies: “To stab you with.”

The trailer, which features a slowed-down cover of Robert Palmer’s ‘Addicted To Love‘, also shows Eve receiving funeral flowers spelling out her own name.

A Valentine’s Day poem shared on the show’s Twitter page said: “Sometimes they see red, The wait makes them blue Eve and Villanelle, Are ready for you.”

The show will return to US channel BBC America on April 7. A UK air date is yet to be announced.

The hugely addictive show was a huge hit with audiences here, and in America, when it was aired last year. The 8-part first season of Killing Eve, a cat and mouse espionage thriller based on Luke Jennings’ Codename Villanelle novellas, was particularly popular with the under-35s.

Launched as an iPlayer box set in the U.K., and aired weekly on BBC One, the show received 26 million “requests” to view on the BBC streaming service, with more than a third of those coming from the under-35s.
