Lena Dunham moves to Wales to shoot new high-finance drama for HBO
Her TV hit Girls made her one of the most powerful players in US TV – and now Lena Dunham has taken to social media to announce she’s back and helming a new show at HBO.
Industry, the new drama - penned by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay - is about the world of international finance and set in London. It is apparently based on the writers’ experience of the cut-throat environment.
When Dunham announced the news today she described the new drama as “Wolf of Wall Street meets Melrose Place!”
Famous names such as Gwendoline Christie, Juliette Lewis and Chelsea Handler were all quick to congratulate the writer/director/producer on her new project.
Holding up the script for episode one, dated 12 April, Dunham gave nothing away. Though she’s not always been so lucky in the past. The actress once accidentally revealed the phone number of friend and Girls’ castmate Jemima Kirke on Instagram, which led to Kirke being bombarded with calls.

Earlier today Dunham also tweeted that she’d moved to Wales for the summer, which she described as “a dreamy place with fairytale gardens, super sweet humans, and dragon mythology.”.
I've moved across the pond for the summer to shoot the show - specifically Wales UK - which is a dreamy place with fairytale gardens, super sweet humans, and dragon mythology. So taking reccs on secret spots, cuisine, you name it!✨🏴
