Yahoo Movies 'Xena' actor Lucy Lawless calls out 'Hercules' co-star Kevin Sorbo after Capitol tweets
Xena: Warrior Princess actor Lucy Lawless has dusted off her fighting skills for a verbal smackdown of her former co-star Kevin Sorbo.
Sorbo and Lawless appeared together in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys during the 1990s, before Lawless’s character Xena was spun off into her own show.

Hercules actor Sorbo has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump’s presidency and tweeted a suggestion that the Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol Building in Washington, DC “don’t look like patriots”.
He had previously tweeted that “ANTIFA led the charge into the Capitol Building dressed as Trump supporters”.
Lawless replied by calling Sorbo an “enabler” and describing those who took part in the riot as “homegrown terrorists”.
She added that she believes Trump supporters “go out and do the evil bidding of people like you who like to wind them up like toys and let them do their worst”.

Lawless has been a prominent supporter of progressive causes, including advocating for climate change action and the Black Lives Matter movement.

The 52-year-old star appeared in six seasons of Xena: Warrior Princess from 1995 until 2001.
She has since had recurring roles on shows including Parks and Recreation and Ash vs. the Evil Dead.
This year, she will appear in a voice role in Despicable Me spin-off Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Celebrities were quick to condemn the events at the Capitol Building, with George Clooney stating that the event will consign Donald Trump and his entire family to “the dustbin of history”.
He added: “That name will now forever be associated with insurrection.”

Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Evans tweeted that he was “speechless” about the events and added that “so many people enabled this”.
Evans’s co-star Mark Ruffalo tweeted a call for the president to be impeached before the transfer of power to Joe Biden, adding that his supporters “staged a coup” with the disorder at the Capitol.
