Mel Smith dies at 60

Mel Smith, the British comedian who appeared in movies such as 'The Princess Bride' and 'Morons From Outer Space', as well as starring in the BBC's 'Not The Nine O'Clock News' and 'Alas Smith And Jones' has dies at the age of 60.

Today his agent confirmed that the star had died at home yesterday from a heart attack the BBC have reported.

The star also suffered from severe pharyngitis, despite which he famously appeared on BBC's 'Mastermind' quiz show in 2008.

Smith was born in West London in 1962.
