The Princess Bride cast reunite after 25 years

The cast of 80s classic 'The Princess Bride' have reunited to mark the 25th anniversary of Rob Reiner’s iconic film.

Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Billy Crystal, Mandy Patinkin and director Reiner were all bought back together in New York this week to mark the film’s anniversary and celebrate the release of the picture on Blu-ray.

 
Elwes, who played dashing Westley in the fairytale romantic comedy, admitted that he hadn’t seen the film in the intervening years, but thought it stood up, stating it was “timeless”.

 
“It was fantastic,” he said. “It was great to see everyone again.”
