A alleged feud between Minnie Driver and her elderly neighbour has spilled into the tabloids, with accusations of harassment and restraining orders between the actress and 74-year-old Daniel Perelmutter.

Yesterday it was reported that Mr. Perelmutter was accusing Driver of throwing black paint ‘bombs’ at a property he is building next door to her’s in the Hollywood Hills.

And now he’s spoken out about the row in an interview with the Daily Mail.

'She screams filthy abuse at me… She rants and raves like a crazy person… She gives me the finger every time she passes me… England sent us some of their best people but this one they should have kept,” he said.

“She has made my life a living hell - she is constantly harassing me. I’ve had a heart transplant, 14 back surgeries and a knee replacement, and Minnie Driver isn’t helping my health.”

Perelmutter has also accused Driver, who he described as 'very sweet’ when she first moved in next door to him 18 months ago with her seven-year-old son Henry, of erecting an electric gate in their shared driveway to keep out paparazzi and then changing the code.

“She came over to my house in her pajamas and sat on the floor with her dog and asked me, 'Do you mind if we put in a gate on the driveway to give me more privacy from the paparazzi? Of course I’ll give you a remote control as well so you can open and close it when you want'” he continued.

“Of course I said yes and at first the remote control worked fine. But two weeks later, she changed the code and I haven’t been able to open the gate since.”

He’s also accused her of blocking building trucks and deliveries to the site where he’s building the new house, adjacent to the house he currently lives in with his wife.

'She would come out and stand on the driveway, screaming at me, calling me a 'motherf*****,’ and refusing to move so that my workmen couldn’t come or go,” he said.

“I was having a delivery of steel for my fence and admittedly the truck was slightly blocking the driveway. But she could have got through in her car, or driven around to another gate that she has into her property. Instead, she came out ranting and screaming for the truck to be moved.

“At one point she called the cops on me and claimed assault because of me leaping on her car. Look at me. I’m handicapped - I wish I could leap!”

Following the paint bombs incident, he’s seeking a restraining order against Driver.

However, Driver also took out a restraining order against Perrelmutter last year.

She accused Perelmutter of 'aggressive conduct’, of swearing at her, jumping out in front of her car and of blowing cigar smoke in the faces of children she was with at the time, one of which was her son Henry.

The ‘Good Will Hunting’ star’s other neighbour Ed Dwyer has also spoken out in defence of the actress.

“Minnie Driver has never been less than polite, helpful and friendly toward me. She’s a wonderful person - not like you,” he said, reportedly pointing at Perelmutter.

“He’s obnoxious - he’s been harassing and causing trouble for people around here for years.

“He’s causing trouble for Minnie Driver because she’s a woman. He’s a woman hater. He won’t [mess] with me because I’m a guy and I’m big.”

Driver’s attorney, Ellyn Garofalo, added to the Mail: “Daniel Perelmutter has been the bane of his neighbours for years.”
