With live music pretty much off the cards for the foreseeable future, British rockers Muse are doing the next best thing: bringing their historic 28 country Simulation Theory Tour to an IMAX cinema near you.
Conceived and filmed at London’s 02 Arena in September of 2019, the new concert movie features 22 songs accompanied by a never-before-heard score, and a narrative element that “blurs the lines between concert, narrative, virtual, and reality.”
Formed in 1994, the band – whose hits include Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia, and Time Is Running Out – consists of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard.
Muse’s bombastic live performances have to be seen to believed, and if you missed the tour in person, seeing MUSE - Simulation Theory: The IMAX Experience on IMAX’s super-sized screens with its enhanced audio is as close as you’ll get to being there in person.
