New Baywatch teaser puts Zac Efron in his place

A new ‘Baywatch’ teaser has arrived…

And it finally puts the ladies in the spotlight.

Starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron, the recent ‘Baywatch’ trailers have been a bit of a sausagefest. In fact, it looks as though the ‘Baywatch’ adaptation is going to be bro humour and penis gags all the way.

But now the girls have got their time to shine.

The new, 23 second teaser puts the spotlight on the ‘Baes’ of the bay.

And thankfully, it looks as though they’re every bit as capable as the dudes.

Not that you can get away from the obligatory lingerie and bikini shots.

Still, while providing the male viewers with plenty to ogle, the new ‘Baywatch’ teaser trailer simultaneously stands up for the rights of its female characters… and when Summer Quinn (played by Alexandra Daddario) catches Zac Efron staring at her boobs, it doesn’t exactly go down well. Take that, male gaze! Although perhaps it would have been a bit more effective without earlier featuring Kelly Rohrbach in her bra and pants.

Just a thought.

Still, it looks as though we might have just witnessed one of the best jokes so far in the new ‘Baywatch’ trailer. Whether or not that’s a good thing… I’ll let you be the judge.
