New on Paramount+ UK in March 2023: The best movies and TV from Yellowjackets to The Godfather
A creepy kidnap thriller and the return of Yellowjackets headline Paramount+ UK this month
Returning survival mystery series Yellowjackets takes centre stage on Paramount+ this February. Excitingly, Frodo Baggins himself Mr Elijah Wood is joining the cast for season two as the timeline hopping story of an all-girl high school football team who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash continues.
Elsewhere TV-wise, Kiefer Sutherland is set to discover how deep the rabbit hole goes in new espionage series Rabbit Hole, while two-part documentary 1939: Secrets of Hollywood’s Golden Year lifts the lid on the secrets and scandals surrounding Tinseltown’s most important year.
On the film side of things, there’s new Judd Nelson starring true-crime kidnap thriller Girl in the Basement, and Francis Ford Coppola’s complete, recently restored Godfather Trilogy is headed our way too. Truly an offer we can’t refuse.

1939: Secrets of Hollywood’s Golden Year | Boxset drops on 1 March
1939 was, by all accounts, truly Hollywood’s Golden Year. However, in this new two-part documentary, a host of experts as well as friends and family of stars of the time - Garland’s daughter Lorna and Olivier’s son Tarquin among others - are set to lift the lid on a town embroiled in secrecy and scandal.
The Challenge: World Championship | Episodes 1 and 2 drop on March 9

There’s also $500,000 on the line as the competitors duke it out over a series of extreme physical and psychological challenges.

Cobra Kai star Peyton List leads the cast of School Spirits, a new supernatural mystery series set to fill the Wednesday-shaped hole in our lives. This one’s based on an upcoming YA graphic novel by Nate & Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen.
Yellowjackets S2 | Episode 1 drops on 24 March

And now the (un)lucky survivors of that Canadian mountainside plane crash are back, with executive producer Jonathan Lisco recently telling Empire how this season is set to chart deeper and darker territory as it “really explores female rage”.
Rabbit Hole | Episode 1 and 2 drops on 27 March
24 and Designated Survivor alum Kiefer Sutherland finds himself fighting for his sense of what is real and for democracy itself in new espionage offering Rabbit Hole.
Here, Sutherland plays John Weir, a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage whose world is turned upside down when powerful forces conspire to frame him for murder. Paranoia, blended mobile phones, and a not entirely trustworthy looking Charles Dance await in this.
