For the first time in its 16-year history, it's an all-British line-up for the award with Dìrísù and Clark joined by Rocks star Bukky Bakray, One Night in Miami's Kingsley Ben-Adir and Conrad Khan, who will appear in the final series of Peaky Blinders.
The nominations were revealed this morning (March 3), ahead of the full BAFTA nominations being released next week. It is the only BAFTA to be voted for by members of the public and voting is now open.
Previous winners have included Letitia Wright, Tom Holland, John Boyega, Daniel Kaluuya, Tom Hardy and Kristen Stewart. Last year's winner was Blue Story star Micheal Ward, who also appeared in Netflix's The Old Guard.
Dìrísù was named as one of Digital Spy's 30 Black British stars of tomorrow and has also appeared in the likes of Gangs of London and Humans.
"The history of the EE Rising Star Award is full of such exceptional and inspirational talents and I'm so grateful to both EE and BAFTA for considering me amongst them," he said of his nomination.
"I'm properly delighted for all my fellow nominees for being recognised in what can only be described as a difficult and challenging year for everyone across the world."
Clark will appear in the upcoming Lord of the Rings series as a younger version of Galadriel and also starred in 2020 breakout horror hit Saint Maud, as well as The Personal History of David Copperfield and Eternal Beauty.
She noted: "I'm delighted and disbelieving that I have been nominated for such a prestigious award by BAFTA and the EE Rising Star jury, thank you to all who compiled the list of nominees.
"I am honoured to be recognised amongst this group of talented, British actors. It has been a difficult year for many people and I hope the next few months will bring hope and a brighter future for the arts."
The EE British Academy Film Awards are set to take place on April 11.
