Oppenheimer's David Dastmalchian has an impressive CV but there is one franchise he will do anything to belong to.

The Boogeyman and Ant-Man and the Wasp star has stated that he could take James Bond villainy to the next level and that no one else can push the "limits" of Bond as he could.

David spoke to SlashFilm previously about wanting to play a villain and take on the British spy, and pressing on the matter, the publication asked if he had set the wheels in motion to make it happen.

"It begins right now," he said.

Calling on the powers that be at Eon Productions, the driving force behind the movies along with the company Danjaq, David continued: "So whoever is reading this, take it as a sign. You were meant to be reading this line at this moment as you're thinking about the future of what you guys are doing with the franchise.

"Trust me when I say that I can bring something to an enemy of 007, whether he or she or they be played in a way that no one has ever seen Bond brought to life before, which is of course the way that you guys always do it."

Pretty confident in his ability he said: "I think there's no one to push Bond to the limits of their capabilities the way that I could, and I would love to do it.

"So there's my pitch to them. I can't wait for them to read this. And then I will owe you when or if I ever get that role, I guess 10%."

David has had a great start to his year, recently appearing as William Borden, a government man and one of Oppenheimer's adversaries in the blockbuster Oppenheimer, as well as wracking up screen time in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, The Boogeyman, Boston Strangler and Late Night with the Devil.
