New movies coming to Paramount+ UK in January 2023
Cocaine Godmother (6 January)
Catherine Zeta-Jones plays the title role in this crime thriller based on the true story of Medellin drug cartel kingpin Griselda Blanco. Born in Colombia, Blanco emigrated to the USA in the 1970s and established a drug business in New York before moving to Miami and becoming a key figure in the "Miami Drug War" of the 1970s and 1980s. Interestingly, Netflix is also working on a series about Blanco, in which she will be played by Sofía Vergara.
The Last Victim (6 January)
This neo-noir thriller from debutant director Naveen A Chathapuram has Ali Larter as its title character — a scientist who bears witness to the cover-up of a horrendous crime perpetrated by Ralph Ineson's group of outlaws. The group pursues her in the hope of making her their "last victim", but Ron Perlman's sheriff is hoping to get their first and save her.
Teen Wolf (27 January)
With only a very tenuous collection to the Michael J. Fox movie from the 1980s, the Teen Wolf TV show ran for six seasons on MTV from 2011 to 2017. This feature-length outing serves as a continuation of the series, with many of the original cast returning — including Tyler Posey in the lead role as Scott McCall. The movie follows the rise of a new evil in Beacon Hills, forcing Scott to embrace his alpha role and reunite his friends to fight back.

Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon's Michigan-set crime thriller series returns for a second season, continuing to follow the power broker McLusky family, led by Jeremy Renner as Mike. The series takes on themes such as systemic racism and the prison industrial complex, examining power and politics in modern America. Also included are the cast are Dianne Wiest, Tobi Bamtefa, Aidan Gillen and Kyle Chandler.
The Challenge UK (daily from 17 January)
Alongside the Australian version of the show, The Challenge is also set to debut its first ever UK season on Paramount+. Rumours suggest that Big Brother, Love Island, TOWIE and Below Deck stars will be among those taking on the physical and mental challenges.
Are You The One? Global Edition (episodes 1-2 on 19 January, then weekly)
In one of the most ambitious dating series ever attempted, Are You The One? brings together 22 recently single men and women from all around the globe to see if they can find their perfect match. The singles have the chance to win a tonne of money if they can put together all 11 "perfect matches".
The Chemistry of Death (weekly from 19 January)
Harry Treadway plays forensic anthropologist Dr David Hunter in this adaptation of Simon Beckett's psychological thriller novels. After years of working with the police, he moves out to the quiet countryside in the hope of a more peaceful existence. But when a mutilated dead body shows up in the woods, the local police enlist him for his unique skills.
Wolf Pack (weekly from 27 January)
Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis seems to be something of a werewolf specialist, following up that series with this adaptation of Edo van Belkom's 2004 book. It follows a group of teenagers who are brought together when wildfires awaken supernatural creatures. It's probably not a spoiler to specify what those creatures are, right? Sarah Michelle Gellar, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, is in the cast too.
