Peaky Blinders star Annabelle Wallis lands next lead movie role
Peaky Blinders star Annabelle Wallis has landed her next lead movie role, in Jason Statham's upcoming project.
Deadline reports that Wallis, who has also starred in Annabelle, Malignant, and The Mummy reboot, will co-lead the action-thriller Mutiny.
The film follows a man named Cole Reed, who sees his billionaire industrialist boss killed right in front of him. With everyone blaming him for it, he needs to go on the run and prove his innocence, exposing an international conspiracy while he's at it.
Filming will take place later this year in the UK.

Interestingly, Wallis was announced in July to be joining a thriller called Mercy, which focuses on a character played by Chris Pratt who is accused of a crime and needs to go on the run and prove his innocence.
Also back in July, Netflix released Wallis' latest film, Vanished into the Night. The Italian thriller tells the story of an estranged couple whose children are kidnapped and held for ransom. Wallis' character believes the kidnapping is related to her ex-partner's criminal past, while he turns to some shady friends in order to raise the ransom money.
Meanwhile, the Peaky Blinders movie was officially confirmed in June 2024 after tons of speculation.
"It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me," star Cillian Murphy said.

"It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans."
Alongside returning cast members, Saltburn and The Batman actor Barry Keoghan has been announced for the film too.
Mutiny does not currently have a release window.
