Peter Pan explains in the novel there are no "lost girls" because girls are far too clever to fall out of their prams.

The trailer also shows Law for the first time as the villainous Captain Hook.

He has waist-length long grey hair, a moustache which is curled at the ends.

Peter Pan and Wendy stars British actor Alexander Molony as Peter. The child actor is the voice of Claude the dog in the animated series for Disney, and appeared as Charlie in the Sky One sitcom The Reluctant Landlord with comedian Romesh Ranganathan.

Anderson, 15, is the daughter of Jovovich and Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson. She played the young Natasha Romanoff, Scarlett Johansson's character, in the Black Widow movie.

Black-ish star Yara Shahidi will play Peter's fairy friend Tinkerbell and Alyssa Wapanatahk is warrior princess Tiger Lily.

The new movie is the latest in a string of Disney's live action remakes of its classic animations following Aladdin, The Lion King, Dumbo, Mulan and The Little Mermaid.

J.M. Barrie originally published the story as a play in 1904 titled Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. He expanded it into a novel called Peter and Wendy in 1911.
