As fans of ‘Jaws’ will attest, some scars can be pretty cool. But to have one from Michael Jackson’s monkey is arguably the coolest of all.

So step forward Rashida Jones, who, thanks to her famous dad, the producer Quincy Jones, knew Michael pretty well when she was growing up.

But the actress, writer and producer revealed that trips to the Neverland Ranch could be perilous.

“I got attacked. By Bubbles. Bubbles. Michael Jackson…,” she told Vice, showing a scar on her hand from the altercation.

“He was wearing a little full – like a little – overall jumpsuit and a striped shirt. To pretend he was a human.

“He also looked me dead in my eye. While he was biting me. I was trying to punish him because he threw something at me. And I like hit him on the head and say ‘no’. Because I had seen Michael [Jackson] trying to punish him before.

“And he looked me dead in the eye and went [motions biting her hand]. It was like white for ten minutes. It was pouring blood.

She added that the chimpanzee appeared unrepentant following the incident.

“He was like, ‘I’m the man’,” she said.

Bubbles, who used to share a bedroom with Jackson, was eventually moved to the Center for Great Apes in Florida in 2005 when he became somewhat too large to handle, where he still lives.

Jackson died in 2009.

Jones has been seen this year in the comedy cop series ‘Angie Tribeca’, created by Steve Carell, and has also penned the script for ‘Toy Story 4’, due out in 2019.
