Yellowstone star Ian Bohen and Shadowhunters Katherine McNamara have been cast in a new movie, Air Force One Down.

Details about the action thriller are being kept under wraps, but the writer-producer Steven Paul has teased that it offers a "new twist on the saving of the President theme" as seen in movies such as Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down.

Bohen and McNamara’s roles in the upcoming project are yet to be confirmed, but they will appear alongside Halloween Kill’s Anthony Michael Hall, Orange is the New Black’s Dascha Polanco and Mission: Impossible II star Rade Serbedzija.

While the title draws parallels to Harrison Ford’s 1997 political action movie, Air Force One, it appears the two movies are unrelated.

Arrow’s James Bamford has taken the helm as director on the Paramount movie, that wrapped back in March and is set to have a 2024 release date.

It comes ahead of Bohen’s return to Yellowstone for the final episodes that are set to air later this year, before a new spin-off series joins the Taylor Sheridan universe.
