Yep, the Dursley’s house on Privet Drive, as seen in the Harry Potter movies, is on the market.

Actually situated in Martins Heron, Bracknell (and not in Little Whingeing, Surrey), the house is a good deal sunnier than the home of Harry’s Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley.

And according to the floorplan, it appears to have an under-stairs bedroom in which you could easily hide away a boy wizard during the school holidays.

Should you so wish.

Reads the listing: “Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this detached property has recently undergone complete renovation to an extremely high standard.”

The house, just walking distance from Martins Heron station, is on the market at the not inconsiderable price of £475,000.

Perhaps thanks to the continuing popularity of the Potter books and films (or more likely the sky-rocketing housing market), the house has shot up in value since it was last sold, in 2010 for £290,000.
