Tom Hanks attacks Donald Trump’s tape comments then explains why he shouldn’t be President

Leave it to Tom Hanks to put Donald Trump in his place.

The Republican presidential nominee has rightfully come under incessant attack over the last few days since audio footage of him suggesting back in 2005 that he could grab women by their genitalia because he was famous emerged.

While promoting ‘Inferno’, Hanks’ latest performance as Robert Langdon following ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and ‘Angels & Demons’, the two time Oscar winner was asked about the comments, and he insisted that he was “offended as a man.”

“He was at work, man. He wasn’t in a locker room,” Hanks told the Press Association, via the Independent, which was in response to Trump insisting that it was just ‘locker room talk.’ Hanks continued, “He was at work. He was showing up to do a thing on camera.”

“Look, I’m offended as a man. I’m not offended as a husband or a father. I’m offended as a guy. That’s just not right, I’m sorry. It’s not right at work, it’s not right in the locker room. It’s wrong, period. The end. That’s all.”

Tom Hanks then went on to explain why Donald Trump shouldn’t become president, using an analogy that we can all relate to, and which highlighted why Hillary Clinton’s experience should make her an ideal candidate. Especially when the other option is so horrid.

“It’s kind of like if you have a horrible, painful tooth, and you need a root canal. Who are you going to see? A guy who says, ‘Oh, I think I can figure that out, how to do a root canal for you. Lay down.’ Or are you going to see somebody who’s done 6,000 of them? Has a degree on the wall and has a great history and expertise when it comes down to it.”

I think we all know what that means; in a perfect world Tom Hanks would be the next president.

‘Inferno’ will be released into cinemas this coming Friday.
