Watch: Michael Fassbender’s uncanny Sir Ian McKellen X-Men impression
Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Hugh Jackman impersonate X-Men veterans for our amusement.
James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender play younger incarnations of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, and it turns out they both do pretty good impressions of their older counterparts too.
We challenged the actors to do their best impersonations of the elder statesmen of the cast in our exclusive interview. Watch the hilarious results above.
McAvoy’s impression brilliantly apes Stewart’s days as Jean-Luc Picard in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and pokes fun at the actor’s love of tea.

Fassbender’s impression meanwhile pokes fun at McKellen’s Shakesperian timbre, but is the more accurate of the two.
Even Hugh Jackman gets in on the action, giving us a bonus impression of director Bryan Singer to boot.
Good job they didn't get shape-shifter Mystique in on the act. That would have been an unfair fight.
‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is out 22 May, 2014.
