Zoe Kravitz on her gruelling Catwoman training for 'The Batman'
Zoe Kravitz has opened up about her training for The Batman, in which she’ll play Catwoman, unsurprisingly calling this preparation both “gruelling” and “pretty intense.”
Kravitz said as much during her recent interview on the Questlove Supreme podcast, before adding, “We just started shooting a couple of weeks ago, but before that, I was in London for two months, just getting in shape, training, learning fights.”
The High Fidelity actor was then asked by the drummer and point frontman of The Roots whether or not she could “fight now,” which lead to her emphatically respond with, “I can fight now.”
This isn’t the first time that Kravitz has been asked about playing Selina Kyle in Matt Reeves’ take on Batman in recent weeks.

Just last month she admitted it was a “little scary” to be involved in a blockbuster of this size. But rather than being overwhelmed by this fear, she insists it has pushed her “to a better place” as an actor.
Kravitz then added, “If you start focusing too much on what people are going to think you’re doing yourself a disservice, it’s almost like you’re putting your energy in the wrong place.”

“Of course, I want to honour the fans and hope they like what I do with the role, but in order to do what I think I need to do with Catwoman I have to go internal and forget about the rest of the world.”
We’ll finally get to see what Kravitz does as Catwoman alongside Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, as well as Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, and Andy Serkis, when The Batman is released on 25 June, 2021.
