Homemade Jurassic Park car goes viral

Clever boys…

'Jurassic Park’ turns 20 this year, so how will you be celebrating the seminal dino disaster?

Buying a cinema ticket for the 3D re-release perhaps? Well that just wasn’t enough for one Reddit user, who decided to construct his very own ‘Jurassic Park’ tour car…

Inspired by ‘Jurassic Park’s' memorable red, green and yellow Explorer tour car (the one T-Rex goes to town on), user CJ Swan and his friends had a plan, a 33-year-old Subaru, and a lot of paint.

The pals documented the Suburu’s journey from old banger to awesome movie tribute with a series of photos on image sharing imgur. They used pizza boxes and a bin to help recreate the iconic designs from Spielberg’s dinosaur classic.

Of course the photos went viral, and have been seen more than 600,000 times.

All they need now is a couple of screaming kids, Jeff Goldblum and a six ton dinosaur. Get working lads…

‘Jurassic Park 3D’ is out in the UK 23 August 2013.
