54-year-old 'Green Mile' actor suffers cardiac arrest
Actor Michael Clarke Duncan has been hospitalised after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to reports.
The actor, best known for starring as inmate John Coffey in ‘The Green Mile’ alongside Tom Hanks, is currently in the intensive care unit at an L.A. hospital.
Gossip blog TMZ reports that the movie star was found at 2am in a state of cardiac arrest by his girlfriend Omarosa Stallworth.
Apparently, Omarosa rushed to perform CPR on actor and sources told TMZ that she was able to resuscitate him.
Clarke Duncan was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and admitted into the intensive care unit.
Sources claim that Duncan's heart rate is now stable and Omarosa is by his side. Doctors are performing tests to figure out why the actor's heart stopped in the first place.
Duncan has also starred in ‘Armageddon’, ‘Sin City’, ‘Daredevil’ and 2001’s ‘Planet of the Apes’.
