‘We are gonna see it through to the bitter end… or lager end’
The first trailer for Edgar Wright’s booze-fueled apocalypse movie‘The World’s End’ has stumbled online, laying down the lager filled gauntlet to Simon Pegg and pals: “12 pubs, 12 pints.” What could go wrong?
Aliens. That’s what.

‘The World’s End’ re-teams Wright with long-time comedy collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (and occasionally Martin Freeman too), for a tale of friends reuniting and returning to their hometown - to take on an epic pub crawl they failed to complete 20 years earlier.
Standing in the way of glory this time though is an invasion of body snatcher-esque aliens, meaning the boys have to take a slight detour to save humanity. Only a detour though.
Whilst Paddy Considine and Eddie Marsan complete the line-up of lads, the movie also gives Wright, Pegg and Frost the chance to finish up their unofficially titled ‘Three Flavours Cornetto’ trilogy - joining cult favourites ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’.
‘The World’s End’ will be propping up the bar from 19 July 2013.
