Billie Eilish teases her 'No Time to Die' song ahead of James Bond theme premiere

Billie Eilish has shared a brief teaser of her song for James Bond movie No Time to Die, ahead of its premiere on Thursday.

The hotly anticipated theme tune – called No Time To Die – written by Eilish with her brother Finneas, will be released online at 4pm PT (12am GMT).

The 18-year-old Grammy winner shared a clip from the track via her official Twitter account, teasing a piano-driven ballad.

Eilish previously confirmed that her James Bond theme is a ballad in a chat with Access Hollywood on the Oscars red carpet over the weekend. Listen to the teaser below.

Eilish had been tipped to perform her No Time to Die theme at the Oscars ceremony, but instead soundtracked the ‘In Memoriam’ montage with a soulful performance of Beatles track ‘Yesterday’, accompanied on piano by her brother Finneas.

She also made a splash with her unusual reactions to some of the biggest Oscars moments, including Eminem’s surprise performance of ‘Lose Yourself’.

The singer has described working on No Time to Die as a “huge honour” and said Bond is “the coolest film franchise ever to exist”.

The team at Eon have also released a new selection of character posters for No Time to Die, revealing the characters played by Billy Magnussen, David Dencik and Dali Benssalah.

There are also new looks at MI6 stalwarts including Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Rory Kinnear as Tanner, as well as Jeffrey Wright’s returning CIA spy Felix Leiter.

No Time to Die is set to represent Daniel Craig’s swansong as James Bond, almost 15 years after he first played Ian Fleming’s superspy in Casino Royale.

The film will see a retired Bond drawn back into the murky world of espionage by the villainous Safin, played by Oscar-winner Rami Malek.

Eon will be hoping that No Time to Die achieves similar success to previous Daniel Craig Bond movies, following the box office failure of their Blake Lively-starring thriller The Rhythm Section.

The thriller opened to just $2.8m (£2.16m) in the United States — the lowest opening weekend figure ever for a movie debuting on 3,000 or more screens — and only managed £424 per screen in the UK, for an opening of just £172,000.

No Time to Die will be released in UK cinemas on 2 April.
