James Woods ‘Lucky To Be Alive’ After High Speed Crash

Hollywood legend James Woods has been involved in a high speed car accident… and revealed that he’s lucky to be alive.

The 68-year-old actor took to Twitter as he revealed terrifying details about the seven-vehicle crash, which happened during an ice storm in the Rocky Mountains.

“Rockies, guy doing 75+ in an ice storm spun out,” he said. “I hit right wall to avoid him, spun 180, hit left wall sliding backwards going 60 mph.”

“Huge drop 100 feet into river below, but the guardrail held. I managed to pull out and slide down out of oncoming traffic.”

Thankfully, nobody was injured in this horrific accident… and while James Woods admitted to being a bit ‘banged up’, it seems everyone managed to get out relatively unharmed.

“I slid below it. No deaths. Banged up. Car wrecked. Good to be alive. Glad everybody survived.”

“Including me it was a seven car crash, I guess,” he added.

Woods explained that he had been driving his four-wheel-drive Jeep through the US state of Colorado when the accident happened. And according to the Oscar-nominated actor, he was told by police that he was the only driver to have not hit somebody else.

James Woods is perhaps best known for the role of H. R Haldeman in presidential biopic, ‘Nixon’ but has also appeared in the likes of ‘Casino’, ‘Hercules’ and ‘White House Down’ as well as taking a recurring (and self-deprecating) role in hit TV comedy, ‘Family Guy’.

“God smiled on me today,” he said. “I am so happy to be alive.”

“It is very to me moving that you are all so caring. I’m doing great and plan to regroup tomorrow, but I’m deeply grateful for all of you.”
