Kong: Skull Island trailer finally shows us the giant, angry ape
The latest trailer for ‘Kong: Skull Island’ has been released, and it gives us our clearest look yet at the giant, angry ape that’s a little peeved a group of humans have visited his home.
When the Comic Con trailer for ‘Kong: Skull Island’ hit back in July anticipation immediately increased for the blockbuster, despite the fact that it didn’t give us a clear view at the titular beast.
Thankfully the latest longer, deeper look at the film manages to show us just how imposing and terrifying Kong will be, while also revealing that the film itself will be much funnier than expected, too.
‘Kong: Skull Island’s’ Twitter account has been in overdrive over the last few days, giving us sneaky peeks of the blockbuster as it has looked to increase anticipation ahead of the trailer drop.
This included glimpses of lizards, monsters, and Kong himself, as well as this utterly gorgeous poster for the film.
Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, ‘Kong: Skull Island’ is set in the 1970s and follows a team of explorers as they venture to an unchartered island that’s deep in the Pacific. Little do they know that it consist of a variety of terrifying creatures, including the mythical giant, ape known as Kong.
Even though they’re playing second fiddle to Kong, Jordan Vogt-Roberts has assembled a brilliant cast for ‘Kong: Skull Island.’
Tom Hiddleston is leading the way as Captain James Conrad, Brie Larson will play war photojournalist Weaver, Samuel L. Jackson is helicopter pilot Packard, while John Goodman, Jason Mitchell, Toby Kebbell, and Corey Hawkins round off the rest of the expedition team.
We’ll finally get to see them put them through the ringer when ‘Kong: Skull Island’ is released on March 10, 2017.
